Welcome
If you are experiencing pelvic pain (any pain between your belly button and your knees), urinary or bowel problems, have had gender care surgery, are pregnant or have recently given birth, have had breast cancer surgery, have unresolved swelling (Lymphedema), or musculoskeletal pain that has not responded to other treatments, I am here to help you feel and move better .
Finding Your Core After Baby is Born: Building Your Strength with a Pelvic PT
This class is designed to help you revitalize your core strength and energy after giving birth, no matter how long it has been (even years later). A strong core can help you prevent back pain and incontinence. You'll learn movements that engage your core muscles and build a strong foundation for your overall fitness and well-being. You’ll strengthen muscles, work on improving your mobility, and we will also focus on breathing techniques that can help to improve your pelvic floor function. This class is about rediscovering your strength and feeling good in your postpartum body.
Classes will be from 4-5 pm on 4 consecutive Tuesdays, at Ohlone Park, from May 23rd to June 13th 2023.
The cost of the 4 week series is $100.
Bring a yoga mat, water and a sense of humor.

Pelvic related Training
I have taken and continue to take numerous courses related to Pelvic Dysfunction; through the APTA, and the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute (H&W PRI). I have also assisted several of the H&W PRI courses including PF1, Pregnancy and Postpartum, and the Visceral Mobilization and Myofascial Pelvis courses.

From these I have developed my own unique style.
I have struggled with intestinal issues my whole life. I came to see Janette for a seemingly unrelated problem, and I am so pleased that she was able to help me. I am so thankful for the relief after many years of difficulty and pain. I hope this therapy will become mainstream, as it is painless and it works.

I began seeing Janette Cariad a year or so after I had had surgery for prostate cancer because I had a bit of lingering stress incontinence. I had expected the treatment process to be pretty straight-forward and “mechanical,” and in fact improvement was quite quick, but Janette’s treatment and methods were anything but perfunctory. She taught me about the complex and subtle relationship between muscles, positions, and alignments involved in the pelvic area and how strengthening and adjusting these elements promotes control, stability and strength. In addition, I find that after sticking with the exercises Janette has given me, my posture and lower body strength are both significantly improved. I’ve come away from working with Janette with a much more satisfying and far-reaching result than I’d anticipated or hoped for.
